What began in 1953 as a tin-can and wire-mesh manufacturer has grown, under continuous family ownership, into a group spanning real estate & property development, construction & engineering, agriculture, timber-based business, hospitality, retail & distribution, energy, logistics, automobile and manufacturing.

The modern group traces to Dagon International Limited, founded in 1990 by U Win Aung and Dr. Daw Moe Mya Mya following Myanmar's economic opening. From an office of five staff, the group delivered over 5,000 homes, pioneered modern retail with Dagon Centre, and partnered with leading international corporations including Toyota, Sumitomo, Mitsui, Parkway and Nippo.

Today the groyp comprises 14 subsidiaries, 7 associate companies - including two public companies - and 3 foreign joint ventures, operating across 10 business sectors and employing more than 3,000 people.
